POLICY REGARDING ELIGIBILITY FOR SPORTS AND

OTHER EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Academic

As a part of St. Paul’s eligibility requirements, students in grades 3-8 must maintain a certain level of academic success during the trimester.  Each week the student’s academic status is reviewed and if he or she is not passing a subject, including art, computers, SPD and music, they will be ineligible to participate in any school or parish sports or extracurricular program until a passing grade is achieved.  The parents and the Athletic Director (sports program activities only) will be notified, by the administration, each week of the student’s academic eligibility status.

Ineligibility begins on the date of notification and last until a passing grade is achieved and for one week from notification.  Any student ineligible is ineligible for at least one week.
